I have the honour to intimate to you that Captain his Excellency Herbert Kitchener has been so good as to arrange for the professional aid of Dr. Vandeleur at present a supernumerary assistant surgeon to H. M. S. Merlin being rendered available for the civil duties of this island including the Police, Harbour Master's Office and Marine Magistrate and Harbour Department.
Excellency will presumably reside on board ship, but he will attend daily at the Magistracy and if at any time when he can...
